The Common Loon (Gavia immer), is an iconic Canadian bird known for its haunting, eerie calls that echo across northern lakes. With striking black and white plumage and distinctive red eyes, the loon is easily recognizable. The loon is an expert diver, capable of staying submerged for extended periods while hunting for fish. It is a symbol of wilderness and is prominently featured on the Canadian one-dollar coin, known colloquially as the “loonie,” since 1987. 3. Technique:
We use the multimedia approach in creating this product which includes photography, digital painting, and hand painting as touch up. The image of the finished design is transferred onto artistic grade birch plywood using the image transferred technique which gives a sense of natural timelessness.

Easy to hang on the wall due to the hall at the back.
